Hmm.. The last four days have been tiring, irritating, but surprisingly productive! ![]()
On thursday, we played host to a prabhatferi, welcoming the touring party at the crack of dawn at our place, them doing shabad-kirtan and ardaas, and distributing karaah parshaad among them. This was the first time we’ve ever welcomed a prabhatferi at our place. It was quite a wonderful experience! (The tiring part I mentioned? Because of this!)
On thursday itself, I caught a terrible cold and it brought with it severe headache and I don’t know why, even an eye infection! My right eye remained bloodshot all through friday. I didn’t even go to college that day… for I was too tired to even get up in the morning, let alone to dress up and board the bus…
On friday, my PC spent the day doing the net-install of Debain Lenny (v5.0.3). It runs GNOME, and I have to admit that it is better than KDE.
It still hangs, but then it happens due to kernel failure, and not due to any desktop environment. So my fears about GNOME weren’t on solid ground.
On saturday, I went out and bought Fundamentals of Database Systems (5/e) by Elmasri and Navathe. Finally! And then experienced severe headache during the Numerical Analysis class at Sanmacs.
On sunday (that’s today), I went a little early (read: in the afternoon, rather than evenining) to Sanmacs. I did that because that time suited me better, and not because I wanted to talk to somebody.
All these days, I’ve been reading Arthugr Golden’s Memoirs of a Geisha (electronically) and Jane Austen’s Emma (physically) and liking both of them.
I have a good life, and I’m happy. Wish some people could understand that.
