Haven’t you noticed that sometimes, some days turn out to be unplanned and special? Days when you hear something good when you least expected it? When you just can’t help but smile… No matter what is supposed to, and does, lie ahead? Well, this one has been one of those!

Five in the morning… Text from her – Last night’s dream.. Please please please come true! (I had an inkling there and then, that my day is made!)

Five hours later.. Ten in the morning… I’m already through with a bulk of my practical assignments… Typing and clicking and copying and pasting left right and center!

Three hours later… One in the afternoon… I receive a call that makes me really happy! I’ve been asked to become a Joomla developer over the summer!

Two hours later… Three in the afternoon… I get my hands dirty with silver, and paint our coolers!

Four hours later… Seven in the evening… I’m having the time of my life… Playing with thermocol sheets… Cutting them in all shapes and sizes to cover up our windows!

And then somebody (ahem!) proclaims that she’s on the verge of dying waiting to read something by me. Now now, I’ve got to oblige her, haven’t I?

Though I still have *plenty* of work to be done (requiring me to be up till late), each moment of today was worth it.. Absolutely worth it!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… The last two days! Two people, who are very obviously attracted to each other, ended up in a weird misunderstanding.. Fueled by randomness and indirectness. For once, it seemed like all was lost.. Never to be found again!

But then, something happened that changed the course of things altogether! Lost things found themselves. Misunderstandings were resolved. And smilies started appearing in my inbox!

Note to self: Whenever you like someone… Just go and tell her! And make sure that you do it in simple terms – without any vagueness, so that it is easy to understand! Indirect talks have never helped anyone.

Also, self, please stop saying things to people that hurt them, or freak them out! They don’t deserve to be treated like that.

(You think its all bakwaas, no? Believe me… Some people will understand every word of it!)

I have a theory. Too much of happiness gets to me, and then something happens that sucks it all away! Why God, why?

(Okay it wasn’t meant to be. I should get it.)

I’m hopeless and sad!

She: My exams got postponed.
Me: French or Economics?
She: French. They start from 11th now.
Me: Are you thinking what I am thinking?
She: I am.

And there you go… the simplest conversation to plan a hangout. Ever!

What followed was a couple of hours of unadulterated fun, which included a lassi competition, a long walk (with some tantrum throwing by her), some Giani’s ice-cream, lots of fidgeting, and… well you get the drift.

It was one of those days when you just forget everything that is going on – all your plans, all your worries; and live in the moment. As if the outside world does not exist, and that you’re not just a cog in the wheel but the wheel itself. That’s what good company can do to you, and that’s what exactly happened.

No wonder my mood is exponentially good today!

I remember when I was little, we used to do fill in the blanks in school. And I used to just love them! (partly because I used to have a knack to guessing those words before anyone else in class!). It was fun.

But then again, as you grow up.. blank starts to mean something else entirely.. You get blank during a paper, when the time is short and your memory is busy making a fool of you. You get blank on the first date, when you’re struggling with what-to-say-and-what-not-to-say! And then of course, you get blank when you’re given a deadline to write a blog post and you’re not able to come up with something that fast.

Yes, somebody here knows exactly what I mean.

But then again, without that deadline, I may have never written anything at all! Something is better than nothing, isn’t it? Even if its useless and does not really have a meaning unless your mental faculties happen to be ridiculously low?
